Ok so now i can finally try and catch everyone up on the progress of the boys. So Saturday morning we got a phone call from the NICU and they told us that Victor needed to get a surgery on his stomach. They had found that his intestine had an infection and was draining into his stomach, so they needed to put some tubes in his stomach so that the infection could drain out. The surgery went good they were able to stop anything from getting worse. They did try to feed Carlos on Saturday but he really didn't take to well to it so they stopped his feeding to keep an eye on him. Throughout the weekend both boys remained stable on their oxygen settings and not much more went on and has continued that way since. Today Victor has been doing really good they have his ventilator all the way on the lowest settings they can go. They don't want to take him off completely yet because they don't want him to work too hard right now. He still has the drains in his stomach and it looks like everything has cleared out. Carlos hasn't really been up to much, they were a little worried about some air in his tummy because of what happened to his brother but they did an x-ray and everything looked ok, no infection. They say he just need to go poop, and he earlier today and they were happy about that because everything is working the way it should be. The did another heart scan on Victor today we are just waiting for those results and tomorrow he will have another brain scan to see how he is doing up there. With the exception of the start of last weekend everything been pretty calm with them not too much has changed.
