Today our little men are 2 weeks old! The last two weeks have been quite the ride, and today was no different. I would say that today wasn't the best day for our boys.
Victor: So early this morning Victor started to take a turn. He had a little fever and he also needed to go back on the ventilator. They think that he has some kind of infection and they are doing test to figure out what it is and also put him back on some antibiotics. By the end of the day he started to improve and has started to go back down on his ventilator settings. He also needed a blood transfusion and for the first time he received the blood that i donated for them on
Monday.
Carlos: Lets see since he had his surgery he has been good. The drains are draining like the are supposed to and he is looking better. At the end of the night they said that he is ready to come off the ventilator but they want to wait a little bit before they take him off because they don't want to him to over work and stress himself out. We got back the results of his head scan and there was more bad news, they are telling us that he now has bright spots on his brain and that those spots may not develop all the way, which would affect him for the rest of his life. Now there is room to be optimistic because he is so premature but they want us to know what could come out of all this. The most important thing is that our boy is here with us today, what the future brings does not matter right now because no one can predict that as hard as it is to hear all of that we try to stay strong and positive. The road is not near over we have a long ways to go but we are confident our little fighters are gonna come out strong.

O.K. My heart fell into my stomach. But we are
ReplyDeletenot giving up because if those two little guys
are not giving up we shouldn't either. In just
so many ways they are telling us, don't give up
on us. I like what Victor "they are here to
stay and now we have to take care of them and
their little problems" I agree 100%. They have
so much hair and one of the boys has their eyes
open. And how is that tiny little guy taking
those tubes and such out. Because he wants to
be here. Play with Juny and Alina. Both boys
want their place with their family. Iliana you
look like a baby yourself. I love you all.
My prayers continue to be with the family.
Please keep us updated. Pray,pray,pray.
titi lourdes "KISSES" to all.
I agree! As exhausted as I'm sure you both are, every moment that your boys prove how strong they are ... you need to be stronger! Just know that God has an AMAZING plan for these boys ... and its already happening right now ... they are already teaching you what TRUE LOVE looks like and feels like. I'm praying for you all, every day! Sending my love ...
