Day 6

I don't know exactly know how to feel today, how do i feel happy when one isn't doing so good or is running into problems but the other one is making progress?

Victor: Our little man Victor he has been pretty stable not much has been going on with this little guy. They decided to start him on a little bit of feeding because he was doing pretty good. He didn't take to the milk how they wanted him to but it was a step in the right direction. While they were feeding him he built up some air in his stomach and that's something they don't like to happen so they stopped with the feeding and put a tube down to try and get some of that air out. They will keep an eye on that because there is a possibility of infection when that happens but they already have him on antibiotics so they are not too worried about that. They will try and feed him again in a couple of days, so hope he takes better to it next time.


Carlos: Our little fighter. So today was a big day for our little guy, he had his third blood transfusion today which went well, he also had a heart and brain scan. So his heart scan today went very well, his PDA has closed so the medicine that they gave him did its job! He also had a brain scan today, I wish I could say that it went as well as his heart scan or even his brothers but our little man does have an IVH. His is a little worse than his brothers his left side is a grade 2, but his right side is grade 3. Now we don't know what this exactly means yet because it can get better and they will be monitoring it closely but it is something that has the potential to be serious and have an effect on him for the rest of his life. Once again though this little man is a fighter he was the underdog the whole pregnancy he has had so much put against him and this little boy is here! So I'm asking this if you pray please pray for him, if you don't please keep our little man in your thoughts. Oh and his mommy got to give him a kiss today!
